This is not a course where you watch videos and take quizzes. This is a hands-on partnership and production incubator.

We work with you personally to make your project market-ready, fundable, and actionable.

The Roadmap:

  • Phase 1: Development: Script polish, logline refinement, and concept strengthening.

  • Phase 2: The Package: Creating the lookbook/deck, budget, and attaching talent.

  • Phase 3: The Greenlight: Strategy for getting donors, sponsorship, and crowdfunding.

  • Phase 4: Execution: Pre-production guidance and production oversight.

  • Phase 5: Production: Creating the magic.

  • Phase 6: Marketing: Make heads turns at festivals and markets.

  • Phase 7: Distribution: Getting your film out there on multiple platforms so you can start collecting checks.

  • Phase 8: Repeat

Most programs ask for thousands of dollars before you’ve even made a dime. We are flipping the script.

  • $0 Upfront Cost: You do not pay a dime to enter this fellowship.

  • Success-Based Contribution: Our fee comes out of the project's success—whether that is secured donors, sponsorship, fundraising events, or distribution deals that we have secured.

  • Aligned Incentives: We are motivated to help you get your project funded and made, because that is the only way this partnership works.

The Financial Model

Because of the hands-on nature of this work (We are personally reviewing your drafts, your budgets, and your strategy), We cannot accept everyone.

  • Cap: 5 Filmmakers maximum at one time.

  • Selection: This is not first-come, first-served. Acceptance is based on the strength of your vision and your interview.

  • The Vibe: We are building an environment for people to thrive. You will be surrounded by a small group of people who want to help you realize your project and make it a reality.

We are Looking for Ambitious Emerging Filmmakers that are ready to be a Leader. We will be giving you the tools, but you need to lead the team and share your vision so we can make that happen in the best way possible.

The Cohort

Alexsiya Flora has produced 11, directed 5 independent feature films that have been featured on Kickstarter, Apple Store and screened on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and over 40 major film festivals including feature documentary Adventures in Plymptoons! about Oscar nominated animator Bill Plympton. She holds a master’s from Loyola Marymount University in Entertainment Leadership and Management and a BA in New Media from SUNY Purchase. She created this fellowship because she wished she had a mentor to guide her through the minefield of independent film when she started. She wants to be that guide for you.

About Your Mentor

Q: What kind of projects are you looking for?

A: We are open to Narrative Feature Films / Documentaries / Short Films and Web or TV Series. We are looking for unique voices that want to make a difference in this world.

Q: How does the payment work exactly?

A: If accepted, we will sign an agreement. A percentage of raised funds or future revenue is allocated to the fellowship to cover the mentorship and resources provided. If our efforts generate no production money, or secure no contracted distribution value, you owe nothing.

Q: What is the time commitment?

A: Expect to dedicate minimum of 3 months but could take up to 1 year depending on the project. That said this is an accelerator; we move fast.

Q: What percentage do you take?

A: As your co-production partner, our share is Industry Standard 20% for the production or distribution sales we acquire for you.
